Dota 2: PSG.LGD win the WeSave! Charity Play China Finals

Here is what happened in one of the hottest tournaments right now.

The unprecedented COVID-19 situation around the world has a dramatic effect on our everyday life, and gaming is no exception. After the outbreak, every big LAN event was canceled. As a result, WePlay! Decided to host a tournament that will bring together some of the best teams in the world.

Yesterday, we were able to watch the WeSave! Charity Play NA finals. As expected, Evil Geniuses gave their enemies no chance as they slowly but steadily made their way to the final and eventually to the trophy.

Today, we got to see another epic final, but this time, in China. Two of the best teams in the last couple of years here went head to head in an epic battle. Although most people expected Vici Gaming to be the victors, that didn’t happen. Instead, it was PSG.LGD that reigned supreme.

What happened?

We believe it’s safe to say that PSG.LGD is back. It took them a lot of time but after a few roster changes, they seem to be back on track. In fact, the most recent change to LGD’s roster took place just a few days ago. Yang “Chalice” Senyui was moved to the carry role and it seems like this was the right decision. He played three different heroes during the grand final and excelled in all of them.

The first game between these two teams was extremely one-sided as LGD just had the better draft. Their pick was entirely focused on those early-mid game skirmishes, which caught VG by surprise, As a result, Zeng “Ori” Jiaoyang and Co. had no other choice but to call the GG and prepare for the second game.

Nearly the same happened in game two, where  PSG.LGD outplayed their enemies yet again. Even though they’ve gone with a different draft, Vici’s lineup was still no match for PSG.LGD. Despite having some hopes in game three, LGD still managed to pull it off and ended up with a clean 3-0 victory.

The WeSave! Charity Play event has brought in a massive $180,000 USD so far to help in the fight against COVID-19.

Don’t forget to watch the EU and SA brackets today.
