Dota 2 Patch 7.33 The New Frontiers Update – Hero Winners

These are some of the most impressive heroes after the arrival of the Dota 2 patch 7.33 and The New Frontiers Update.

In case you’ve missed the latest Dota 2 patch, The New Frontiers Update changed the map, most items, Roshan, the MMR system, and more. Of course, it also affects heroes, and you can check our Hero Changes article, where we cover some of the names that received the most changes.

Of course, not all hero changes positively affected the heroes because some received nerfs. That said, this article will focus on the positive changes following the Dota 2 patch 7.33, so it’s time to take a look at some of the biggest winners. Follow us for more information because we will also show you the heroes that lost the most.

Alchemist

Although it is probably too early to tell because the new Dota 2 patch 7.33 has been out for a couple of days, we think Alchemist is one of the winners. The hero received tons of changes, including adding a new passive ability. After testing him, we feel like he is way stronger than before, especially when it comes down to PVP.

Even though Alchemist Greevil’s Greed is not as powerful as before, almost all of his other abilities are better. In fact, he has an entirely new skill called Corrosive Weaponry, which allows him to do more damage.

We’ve seen Alchemist in the safe lane, as well as in the mid-lane, and it’s safe today he works well in both places. However, considering his current abilities, we feel like Alchemist will be stronger as a carry. He can farm incredibly fast and is way more effective in PVP, even early on.

Arc Warden

Even though we haven’t seen this hero in that many games after The New Frontiers Update became available, Arc Warden is definitely a hero that deserves more attention. Even though he only received changes to his ultimate regarding hero abilities, his Tempest Double now has special versions of his skills. Some of them do more damage, whereas others last longer, making the hero way stronger in all sorts of situations.

Similar to before, we expect to see Arc Warden in the mid-lane. Some professional Dota 2 teams will probably try putting him in the safe lane, but the hero is a popular midder that can rip through his enemies.

Phantom Lancer and Naga Siren

Event though this is not one of the Dota 2 heroes that received that many changes, PL seems like it will be one of the best in the Dota 2 patch 7.33. The hero has a couple of new things, such as a 225 base attack range instead of 150. Furthermore, his Spirit Lance can be upgraded by an Aghs scepter, and Juxtapose is now using a shard.

If we take a look at the Dota 2 stats, we can see that PL is one of the most successful heroes in the game right now. However, we’re yet to see what will happen with him in the future.

An important thing to remember about the new Dota 2 map is that there are 12 more camps that players can farm. Consequently, all hard carries that can farm multiple camps get a huge buff immediately just because of it. PL is one example, but we also have to include Naga Siren. In fact, the latter can become one of the strongest heroes in the new patch, even though she got some nerfs.

Chen

One of the names that will definitely be overlooked after the Dota 2 patch 7.33 is Chen. Many people don’t realize it, but this hero feels much more robust than before, mainly because of the changes. Besides being a universal hero and the slight changes to his stats, Holy Persuasion received 2 substantial buffs.

The first one allows the hero to get Gold that’s equal to the creep it dominates. Unsurprisingly, this is huge because it will enable him to farm much faster than before and get the items he needs.

Speaking of items, Holy Persuasion also allows Chen players who buy Aghanim’s Shard to add one level to the upgradable abilities of persuaded creeps. By doing this, the creeps become even stronger, which means Chen can push faster and more effectively.

Legion Commander

Legion Commander

The next interesting hero on the list is Legion Commander, who also received a lot of interesting changes after The New Frontiers Update and patch 7.33. His Overwhelming odds no provides up to 140 attack speed bonus instead of movement speed. Furthermore, it has a larger radius and affects an area around the hero. What’s even more impressive is that she can use it during Duel.

Press The Atack now gives movement speed instead of attack speed, and Duel doesn’t last as long as before. Those things may seem like nerfs, but in reality, Legion feels better, especially early on.

Final Thoughts

It is important to remember that almost all Dota 2 heroes received some sort of change in the latest Patch. It is too early to point out all of the names that stand out because the best Dota 2 players will eventually come up with new tactics that will change the meta.

One thing is certain – the new map allows carries that can farm faster to be much stronger than before. So, heroes like PL, Naga, Anti-Mage, Alchemist, TB and more should be more efficient. Remember to follow us for more information about the latest Dota 2 patch.
