OG Dota PIT Season 3: China Starts Tomorrow

Here is some information about the upcoming event.

Right now, there is a pretty cool ongoing event in China called China Dota 2 Pro Cup Season 1. After a few days of epic action, the event is currently taking a break, which means that it’s time for another tournament in the region.

Its name is OGA Dota Pit Season 3 and it starts tomorrow.

What happened in the European event and what can we expect from this one?

If you’ve followed the professional Dota 2 scene in the last couple of days, you know that the OGA Dota PIT Season 3: EU/CIS has just come to an end. As expected, Team Secret became the champions once more after they’ve ripped through the competition once more.

The Chinese version of this event will start tomorrow and it will include eight teams. They will be split into two groups, where each one will have four teams. Although the prize pool might not be that impressive compared to other events ($90K USD), it’s still not bad because most of the Chinese tournaments don’t have big prize pools.

The group stage of the event will begin on the 29 of September and it will end on the 30. This means that all of the participants who are playing in the Dota 2 Pro Cup Season 1 will be able to play in the playoffs.

The OGA Dota PIT Season 3: China will gather some of the best teams in the region. Apart from the two powerhouses in the face of PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming, you will also find the following teams:

  • Royal Never Give Up
  • Invictus Gaming
  • Team Magma
  • Sparking Arrow Gaming
  • EHOME
  • Team Aster

The team that wins each group will advance directly to the second round of the upper bracket. On the other hand, those that finish second and third will advance to the first round of the UB. Sadly, the teams that finish last will be eliminated.
