Legendary player Yeik Nai “MidOne” Zheng to join forces with Michael “ninjabooogie” Ross on newly formed SEA team, SEAMonkeys.
Now the MDL Chengdu Major has come to an end, it'ss time to focus on the qualifiers for the next two DPC tournaments – WePlay! Bokovel Minor and The Leipzig Major.
Yesterday, we announced that the ex-Team Liquid players have revealed their new organization – Nigma Esports. Apart from them, another legendary player also found himself a new home – Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng.
From Team Secret to SEAMonkeys
MidOne used to be a vital part of Team Secret until a couple of weeks ago. Although he’s been in the team for years, he decided to leave because he was “in need of rest”. However, MidOne’s performance during TI 9 was not all that good, so this might be another reason for his decision.
Regardless, Zheng left the European powerhouse. After a couple of weeks of being teamless, the Malaysian mid laner teamed up with another legend from the region – Michael “ninjabooogie” Ross. Similar to MidOne, Ross also took an extensive break after he left Mineski.
The SEA Scene
The SEA Dota 2 scene is absolutely flourishing right now. TNC Predator is killing it on the big stage and there are also a couple of new teams. After Mushi and YamateH announced Brother United, we now have another team – SEAMonkeys.
Their roster from 1 to 5:
- Lee “Chidori” Jia He
- Yeik Nai “MidOne” Zheng
- Nicholas “zeal” Lim
- Ooi “KennyO” Yew Kah
- Michael “ninjabooogie” Ross
