Dota 2: KuroKy To Miss The OMEGA League

Sadly, one of the most legendary Dota 2 players won’t be able to compete in the upcoming OMEGA League.

We are just days before the start of the OMEGA League: EU Immortal Divison. Where we'll see some of the best teams in the world going head to head for the prize pool of $500K USD.

There are plenty of top teams to we have to watch out for; one of which is Team Nigma. The International 7 champions have been in a pretty good form recently. Needless to say, this makes them one of the favorites to win this event.

However, their captain and one of the most recognizable faces in professional Dota 2 Kuro Salehi “KuroKy” Takhasomi won’t be able to play. According to the official news, the legendary player has an arm injury, which won’t allow him to compete on 100%.

Who will take his place?

Due to the fact that Kuro won’t be able to attend the event, Team Nigma has to find a substitute. Even though it’s not officially confirmed yet, we think that Roman “rmN-” Paley will be the one who will take on this challenge. As you know, rmN- has been Nigma’s coach for some time now. In fact, he played for the team in the OGA Dota Pit just a few weeks ago.

Of course, there are other options as well, but considering the fact the EU powerhouse won the Dota Pit with Roman, it’s pretty likely we will see him again. He played a major role in Nigma’s success at Pit, after a gruesome Bo5 against Alliance.

The OMEGA League: EU Immortal Division will start on the August 14. However, Nigma’s first game will take place on August 15. What's more, it will be against Alliance, so it’s definitely going to be worth watching it.
