Sadly, Dota 2 just lost what has proven to be one China's top teams over the last couple of years.
Unfortunately, it seems like COVID-19 started to have an effect on several Dota 2 teams. One of them is the Chinese squad Keen Gaming, which made a name for itself in the last couple of months.
In fact, they recently became one of the teams that established the Chinese Dota 2 Professional Association, alongside other top teams from the region. However, it seems like the lack of good results was the final nail in the coffin.
Keen Gaming’s roster was formerly;
- Yang “Erica” Shaohan
- Xu “Blood” Ziliang
- Zhuang “xiaofu” Yongfu
- Zhao “Yds.” Jiayi
- Yu “Fantasy” Yajun
Unofficial announcement
We learned the details of the announcement from Chen “86” Yuxuan, who was Keen Gaming's captain. He used the popular Chinese social media platform, Weibo, where he basically revealed what was happening.
So far, we have no official response as to what will happen with Keen Gaming. In fact, the team has to play against Team Aster tomorrow, so we will probably learn something about the situation soon.
