The Dota 2 roster shuffles are currently at their peak. There are a couple of changes happening daily but despite that, there are still a lot of top tier players who have not yet been assigned to any team. That said, Invictus Gaming has just announced the addition of Hu “Kaka” Langzhi to their roster.
New Rosters – IG
Invictus Gaming is one of the oldest and most reputable organizations in the Chinese Dota 2 scene. In fact, they have two teams – IG and IG.Vitality. In order to be competitive enough, the organization announced changes in both of them.
As mentioned above, IG recruited Kaka from Keen Gaming. Despite the fact that KG managed to secure their direct invite for TI 9, their actual performance at the tournament was nowhere as good as during the DPC season. As expected, many players left the team once TI concluded.
In addition to Kaka, IG also added three more players – Chongjian “Oli~” Chen, Thiay “JT-” Jun Wen, and Jin “zhzhizhi” Zhiyi. Oli and JT are used to play in Southeast Asia, whereas zhizhizhi is a former player of Team Serenity, once a very prominent team that failed to live up to the expectations.
Here is what IG’s roster looks like after the changes:
Yizhi “flyfly” Jin
Yi “Emo” Zhou
Thiay “JT-” Jun Wen
Hu “Kaka” Liangzh
Chongjian “Oli~” Chen
New Roster – IG.Vitality
The Chinese organization is one of the few teams left that is supporting two teams at once. In fact, there used to be more teams doing thus but then Valve came out with a new rule which does not allow any organization to have more than one team at a given TI, so having two teams did not make much sense anymore.
Vitality has always been a mixture of young and talented players. The main goal of this team is to “elect” the good players and promote them to the org’s main team. Once again, during the 2019-2020 DPC, we will see a bunch of new players. However, this time, there is also someone experienced to guide them – Yang” InJuly” Xiadong.
