The CIS team have announced the departure of offlaner Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk from their active roster.
The CIS Dota 2 scene is one of the most interesting ones to watch. After Virtus.Pro went through the drastic roster change, there isn’t a team that stands out anymore. Right now, every single top tier team here can potentially come out as a winner. As a result, teams such as Gambit and Team Spirit are giving it all out to establish themselves as the new leaders in the region.
Changes to Team Spirit
Our Dota 2 roster is undergoing changes – today @Ghostikdota is leaving Team Spirit.

Even though they couldn’t make it to the Major, Team Spirit qualified for the Bukovel Minor. However, just two weeks before the tournament begins, Team Spirit came out with an announcement.
Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk will switch places with Alexey “nongrata” Vasilyev. According to the manager of TS, “there was a difference in views about the training process, understanding of the game and further development paths.” In other words, the team and Ghostik had different ideas about what had be done.
After the changes, Team Secret is now the third team in this Minor that will receive a DPC points penalty. As you know, Valve changed the rules for the 2019-2020 DPC and now implies a penalty to those teams who change their rosters after the qualifiers.
Here is Team Spirits’ current line-up:
- Igor “iLTW” Filatov
- Egor “Ergon” Kozlov
- Alexey “nongrata” Vasilyev
- Alexander “Immersion” Hmelevskoy
- Mihail “Misha” Agatov
The WePlay! Bukovel Minor will begin on the 9th of January. Eight of the best teams in the world will be fighting for that $300K USD prize pool. Even though it’s not a Major, this is still a very important event, especially for some teams. After all, the winners here will also get a slot for the Leipzig Major.
