Dota 2: Gambit and Aster Invited to ONE Esports World Pro Invitational

Gambit Esports and Team Aster are joining in on the action at the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational.

Since TI9 came to an end, there have been a number of intense Dota 2 tournaments. Despite the fact that they were not included in the DPC, they were still incredibly interesting to watch because some of the best teams in the world took part in them. The latest one was ESL One Hamburg 2019 where TNC Predator swept through the competition like a knife through butter.

Apart from the teams, ESL’s tournament was very cool because of its $300K USD prize pool. However, that’s a small number compared to what the ONE Esports World Pro Invitational has for us. Twelve of the top teams in the world right now will go head to head in Singapore in order to have a shot at the $500K USD prize pool.

We already know the names of some of the teams that will be there. That said, two more names were added today – Gambit Esports and Team Aster.

The Chinese team experienced a massive roster change in the post-TI-9 shuffle. As a result, Pan “Fade” Yi and Song “Sccc” Chun joined the new squad. Needless to say, they are among the best individual players in China right now. No wonder Aster managed to secure one of the slots for the first Major of this DPC – MDL Chengdu.

The second directly invited team is the CIS powerhouse – Gambit Esports. Despite the fact that they finished second at ESL One Hamburg 2019 just a couple of days ago, they’ve proven that the roster change a couple of months ago was well worth it and they can now safely aim to become the best team in their region, especially after Virtus.Pro is in a “crisis” right now.

ONE Esports World Pro Invitational

Starting from December 17th, The One Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational will be absolutely epic. Expect teams such as Vici Gaming, Evil Geniuses, PSG.LGD and more. If you are interested in attending the event live, click on the link in the tweet above. There are not that many tickets left, so you need to hurry up.

This tournament will be a big test for one of the EU representatives – Alliance. Adrian “Fata” Trinks’s team is looking on fire right now but they are yet to prove themselves against the best teams in the world. After all, let’s not forget that the likes of Secret, OG and LGD are currently taking a break.
