Although FlyToMoon is in excellent form, they have announced a drastic roster change.
The CIS Dota 2 scene has always been really interesting to watch. This is perhaps the most exciting region because anything can happen, both in and outside of the game. Sadly, recent events are just another example of that.
Even though FlyToMoon is currently one of the hottest CIS teams, it came out with a shocking statement. Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobkin, who was one of the best players in the current roster, will no longer play for the team.
What happened?
FlyToMoon has had really good results recently. Even though the team Dota 2 scene completely changed after COVID-19, all events are now held in an online format, which seems to be exactly what the CIS team needed.
The most recent results that the team accomplished are a second place at the Parimatch League Season 3, as well as a fourth finish at the BEYOND EPIC EU/CIS. This was a clear sign that the team was on the right path.
Nevertheless, shortly after the end of the OGA Dota PIT Season 2: EU/CIS, ALOHADANCE decided to part ways with his team. This was confirmed on FTM’s Twitter account shortly after the rumors began.
The legendary CIS player became a part of FlytToMoon around five months ago. As you probably remember, he used to be a part of HellRaisers but he left after a conflict between him and the organization.
Now, he and FlyToMoon decided that it’s best for both sides for him to leave the team. Even though this might be good news for both parties, there is a big problem that FTM needs to deal with.
As you know, the team got directly invited to the OMEGA League, which will begin really soon. However, after the recent roster change, the CIS squad now has only four players. So, this means that we will probably see a new FTM player really soon. There are some hot players right now that don’t have a team, so it will be really interesting to see what will happen.
As we said, the new online tournament will take place in just a few days. Until then, make sure you follow us on our social media accounts for more information. This is what FTM’s current roster looks like:
- Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey
- Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko
- Victor “GeneRaL” Nigrini
- Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenk
