DreamLeauge Season 12 will kick-off on October 18th in Rotterdam, Netherlands. There will be six teams in total divided into two groups. Four of them were directly invited, whereas the other two had to earn their spot through the regional qualifiers.
The top team from each group will advance to the Upper Bracket. As you can guess, the bottom two will have to fight for their survival in the Lower Bracket.
Group A Teams
The big name in this group is Team Liquid. As you know, the organization has an entirely new roster after Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Borislavov and his team-mates decided to part ways with them in order to form their very own organization. This led to the acquisition of the ex-Alliance roster.
Max “qojqva” Bröcker and Co. already managed to qualify for the MDL Chengdu Major. However, this will be their first official big event under the new banner.
Ninjas in Pyjamas is also a very notable foe here. Peter “ppd” Dager made a new team from the ground up after their disappointing performance at TI 9. Similar to Liquid, this will also be their first big challenge.
The other team in this group is Demon Slayers. The NA team earned their spot here after defeating their enemies in the qualifiers.
Group B Teams
Probably the strongest team in this tournament is Alliance. After the Swedish organization decided to drop off their roster, they’ve acquired Adrian “Fata” Trinks’s new stack and so far it seems that this was the right decision. They completely rippled through the competition in the qualifiers and secured their spot for MDL Chengdu. This definitely makes them one of the scariest teams at DreamLeaugue S12.
The other teams in Group B are J.Storm and FlyToMoon. The NA squad recently lost their best player – Roman “Resolut1ion” Fominok. Even though they’ve found a replacement relatively fast, replacing a player of Roman’s caliber is easier said than done.
All series in both groups will be played simultaneously on the first day of the event. As always, some of the best talents in Dota 2 will be there to cast, so be sure to watch because it will be very interesting.
