Dota 2: EG to Play at ESL One Birmingham

ESL have just announced Evil Geniuses as the third team attending ESL One Birmingham 2020.

Even though the Dota 2 world is currently watching the ongoing Minor, we have some news about a very interesting tournament. ESL One Birmingham 2020 is going to be one of the most anticipated none-DPC events of the year. Taking place in England from the 26th to the 31st of May, this event will feature twelve of the best teams in the entire world. They will be fighting for a $300kUSD prize pool, which is the same as you can get from a Minor.

the latest directly invited team

A couple of days ago OG and TNC were announced as the first two teams who'll be heading to England. Now, just a couple of days later, ESL announced the newest participant Evil Geniuses.

The NA powerhouse had a phenomenal run in 2019, reaching the Grand Final. On the contrary, back at first edition of this event in 2018, EG put on an abysmal performance; falling in the second round of the lower bracket.

However, now that they have the new roster, EG is one of the best teams in the world, at least on paper. It will be very interesting to see what will they do in the upcoming Los Angles Major; the tournament begins March 15.

There are still over two months until we'll be able to watch ESL One Birmingham 2020. Until then, make sure to watch the big final of the Minor tomorrow, as well as the other upcoming events.
