CDEC Gaming announce the addition of Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son to their competitive roster.
CDEC Gaming used to be one of the best Chinese teams, especially around TI 5. However, after the memorable second place there, they slowly started to transition into the tier two scene. That said, the team did some changes recently and start to win yet again.
The Bukovel Minor
Despite their overall performance, CDEC was unable to get that spot for the Minor. They played very well for the most part and even got to the Grand Finals. However, Royal Never Give Up was just on another level and ripped through them. As a result, CDEC will miss yet another set of DPC tournaments.
Changes
It seems like something has to change if they want to start attending the big tournaments. As a result, the Chinese team announced the addition of Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son to their team on weibo.
He is a well-known SEA player who played in one of the best teams there is; Mineski. However, after their roster disbanded completely, Ahjt suddenly remained teamless.
Here is what CDEC’s roster looks like after the changes:
- Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son
- Guo “Xm” Hongcheng
- Shen “123” Chao
- Zhou “James” Yifu
- Chen “Victoria” Guanhong
We can only hope that this legendary squad will get back on the winning track again. They definitely have what it takes to be among the best in their region.
