We take a look at EPICENTER'S new tournament.
EPICENTER is known for organizing some of the best Dota 2 tournament in the world. Even though this company usually hosts LAN events that bring together thousands of Dota 2 fans from around the globe, this time, they’ve decided to organize an online tournament. Needless to say, that’s due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In conjunction with Epic Esport Events, Beyond the Summit and Beyond Epic, we will watch an online tournament that will bring together the best teams from Europe, CIS, and China. Starting from the 12th of June, the best twelve EU and CIS teams will fight for a $200K USD prize pool. At the same time, eight of the most prominent Chinese teams will also try their luck. However, the prize pool for them will be just $50K USD.

Even though there will be many directly-invited teams from EU & CIS, there will also be one free slot that will be determined via the open qualifiers. What’s even more impressive is that every single team can decide to take part in these quals. You don’t even have to be from the same region, which is pretty neat. Similar to any other open quals, there will be a single bracket that will take place on FACEIT.
Apart from that, here are the names of some of the directly invited teams;
- OG
- Nigma
- Virtus.Pro
- Natus Vincere
- Alliance
- FlyToMoon
- Team Liquid
As for China;
- Royal Never Give Up
- CDEC Gaming
- Vici Gaming
- PSG.LGD
- Invictus Gaming
- Team Aster
- Sparking Arrow Gaming
You can watch the EU and CIS event live, starting from the 15 July. The group stage will be over until the 24th of June, after which we will have four days of epic action in the playoffs. As for China, the action will start on the 21 June.
