Dota 2: Battle Pass 2022 – How to Win with A Caped Utility Hero in Cavern Crawl

Here’s how you can Win with A Caped Utility Hero in Cavern Crawl during Battle Pass 2022.

Cavern Crawl is an ongoing quest that is available to be played during Battle Pass 2022. There are numerous heroes with unique abilities that you can pick to win over the Cavern Crawl map in Dota 2. You can choose either utility, support, or carry heroes within Cavern Crawl to unlock exclusive sets for Slardar, Crystal Maiden, and Juggernaut.

The utility path lets you progress towards the Stonefish Renegade set for Slardar. Utility heroes are good at tanking and reaching team fights on time to protect the team from incoming damage. Cavern Crawl offers a unique set of heroes that you can choose to be victorious while completing the Win with A Caped Utility Hero quest.

Abaddon uses Mist Coil on allies to heal them

Abaddon is an incredibly tactile hero in Dota 2. People who are willing to play the tank role for their team can choose Abaddon to shield their teammates and themselves from physical and magical damage.

The melee hero has a base HP of 640 and a base mana pool of 291. Abaddon has base stats of 22 Strength, 23 Agility, and 18 Intelligence at the start of the game. He gains an astounding 2.6 Strength per level in the game.

If you haven’t played Abaddon before, you can start by purchasing a Magic Wand right after you spawn into the game. Magic Wand costs 450 gold and provides 3 Strength, 3 Agility, and 3 Intelligence to its owners. The early game item gains an Energy Charge every time an enemy hero casts a spell around you.

Each Energy Charge can heal you for 15 health and mana. Magic Wand can hold up to 20 maximum charges. Magic Wand can be extremely useful in lanes to nuke Mist Coil and Aphotic Shield. Mist Coil has a low mana cost of 50, while Aphotic Shield can consume 130 mana per cast. You can upgrade a Magic Wand into a Holy Locket to gain Holy Blessing, a passive ability that amplifies the healing you provide by 30%.

You can buy a Boots of Speed and turn it into Tranquil Boots. Abaddon has a base movement speed of 325 and can gain an additional 65 movement speed by equipping Tranquil Boots in Dota 2. It also provides 14 health regeneration to Abaddon when he is not being attacked by enemy units.

There are various items you can buy to build on Abaddon’s stats during the mid game. You can buy Vanguard for 1825 gold to block damage from enemies. Vanguard provides a 60% chance to block 64 damage for melee heroes, making it suitable for Abaddon. You can upgrade Vanguard into Crimson Guard or Abyssal Blade.

Armlet of Mordiggian can be purchased for 2500 gold. It grants Abaddon 5 health regeneration, 6 armor, 15 attack damage, and 25 attack speed. You can activate Armlet of Mordiggian to gain Unholy Strength, giving Abaddon a bonus 35 damage, 25 Strength, and 4 armor till it is turned on. Armlet of Mordiggian will increase the survivability of Abaddon and help you Win with A Caped Utility Hero quest.

Batrider blinks into battle

Batrider is a disabler who can roam around the map to hunt for heroes. He has a base HP of 760 and a base mana pool of 339. The ranged hero has base stats of 28 Strength, 15 Agility, and 22 Intelligence. He gains 2.9 Intelligence and Strength per level.

The Intelligence hero can stack additional damage for up to 10 times on enemy units every 3 seconds in a 375 radius using Sticky Napalm. It has a low mana cost of 20 per spell cast and can be used to nuke enemy heroes and creeps in lanes. You can also combust the stacked damage from Sticky Napalm using Flamebreak.

People who love to play support heroes can use Flamebreak to disposition opponents in team fights. Flamebreak deals 120 damage upon impact and deals burn damage of 15 for 8 seconds. It has a knockback distance of 300 and requires 125 mana.

You can max out Firefly to gain flight and unobstructed movement on the map. Firefly increases the movement speed by 12% and deals 65 damage per second for 15 seconds. It needs 125 mana to be cast in the game.

Dota 2 players use Firefly immediately after grabbing opponents with Flaming Lasso, Batrider’s ultimate ability. Flaming Lasso lasts for 3.5 seconds and deals 75 damage per second. It has a cooldown of 110 seconds and consumes 200 mana.

Players need to maintain a large mana pool to be able to nuke enemy heroes during team fights and in the lane. You can purchase items such as Arcane Boots and Aether Lens to gain additional mana for the Batrider.

Arcane Boots costs 1300 gold and provides 250 mana to the Intelligence hero. Aether Lens costs 2275 gold, provides 300 mana and 2.5 mana regeneration for the ranged hero.

The utility hero can buy a Veil of Discord for 1525 gold. It grants Batrider 4 Intelligence, Strength, and Agility. You can use the active ability, Magic Weakness, by tapping the Veil of Discord item in your inventory. Magic Weakness increases the magical damage from all incoming sources by 18% in a 600 radius for up to 16 seconds.

Most players with a high win-rate with the Batrider buy a Blink Dagger to surprise their enemies. Blink Dagger has a cost of 2250 gold and lets him teleport to a nearby location within 1200 range in the game. You can use Blink Dagger and use Flamebreak to separate the enemy team during fights. It will greatly improve your chances of completing the Win with a Caped Utility Hero quest during Battle Pass 2022.

Nature’s Prophet

You can choose to support the team by clearing creeps on lanes or be aggressive and go after kills after farming core items for Nature’s Prophet.

Nature’s Prophet can teleport to any location on the map using his active ability, Teleportation. He can trap enemy units for up to 6 seconds by sprouting trees around them by using Sprout. The ranged hero can summon 5 treants at any time to vanquish waves of creeps and take down towers. Wrath of Nature, his ultimate ability, lets him cast a spell that deals damage to multiple enemy units all around the map.

It also amplifies incoming damage by 30%, giving Nature’s Prophet a distinct advantage in battle. You can upgrade Orchid Malevolence to Bloodthorn later in the game to increase its efficiency during team fights.

Desolator is a vicious item that grants 50 attack damage to Nature’s Prophet. You can purchase Desolator for 3500 gold. The item lets Nature’s Prophet pierce the armor of his enemies by reducing their armor by 6 for 7 seconds.

Silver Edge is an appropriate item for Nature’s Prophet. It requires 5450 gold, provides 52 attack damage and 35 attack speed to the Intelligence hero. You can use Silver Edge’s active ability, Shadow Walk, to turn invisible for 14 seconds.

It also applies a break on all passive abilities on enemy heroes for 4 seconds, making the item quite handy to deal with tankers and Strength heroes. Silver Edge also provides a 30% chance to deal 160% critical damage to enemy units.

Scythe of Vyse is one of the strongest items in the game for disabling opponents. You can farm 5675 gold to get the Scythe of Vyse. It gives Nature’s Prophet 10 Strength, 10 Agility, 35 Intelligence, and 9 mana regeneration. You can hex enemies with the active ability of Scythe of Vyse.
