The NA outfit had to take the decision as they did not have a full roster at their disposal
Detonate will not feature in the upcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR after two of their players have been ruled out of the competition. Jack “micro” Ryan will not be able to fly to Monterrey, Mexico for the RMR after making a mistake in his visa application. Brett “bret” Rhein will be the other absentee, who suddenly fell ill.
Due to circumstances out of DETONATE's control, we will unfortunately not be attending the BLAST Americas RMR.
This is due to the notion that we are unable to field a second emergency sub for @brett_csgo as per Valve's rulings.

According to BLAST's ruling, teams can pick one substitute in Majors and Major Qualifiers. Since there is no rule for an emergency second sub, Detonate had no other choice but to withdraw from the RMR. The news brings an end to Detonate's remarkable run in the Major cycles, where they pulled off unexpected RMR Closed Qualifier wins against Nouns and ATK.
Who Will Replace Detonate In The Paris Major Americas RMR?
The organizers did not officially announce a replacement for Detonate, but their ruleset does break down the process of choosing a replacement team. The rule says the next-highest ranking team will qualify for the tournament, which means the doors to RMR could open for Evil Geniuses.
