CSGO: Virtus.pro Bought Out Full AVANGAR’s Squad

The Russian esports organization Virtus.pro just revealed their new CS:GO roster, the full squad of the Kazakhstan team AVANGAR.


According to the official information provided, the new CS:GO team signed long-term contracts with the Russian organization. The first event for the new roster of the Bears will be EPICENTER 2019, will be held in Moscow on December 17-22.

Roman Dvoryankin, Virtus.pro's General Manager made the announcement.

It’s a big day for VP as we open a new chapter in our Counter-Strike history.” He said.  “It is also a great addition to our world-class Dota 2 team that will allow us to be more competitive and bring even more glory to our fans across the world.” Roman said, before adding that currently VP have “one of the world’s youngest lineups both in Dota 2 and CS:GO.” The new CS:GO squad will form part of a “solid foundation” for VP's further development.

Roman went on to thank both the fans who he said have “done an outstanding job supporting us throughout the years.” He also expressed thanks to past members of Virtus.Pro, including Taz, neo, pasha, byali, Snax, MICHU, Vegi, snatchie, phr, TOAO, morelz, OCOLICIOUZ, Loord, KubiK, Junior and kuben, “for all that they've done for us.”

Dzhami «Jame» Ali, VP's CS:GO team captain also spoke about the new changes. “It’s an exciting moment for all of us.” He said. “We’re thrilled to become a part of one of the biggest esports brands in the world and will do our best to bring VP back to the top ranks of CS.” Ali also expressed the team's thanks to their former organization. “On behalf of our team I would like to thank AVANGAR management for their trust in us, we wouldn’t be here without their support.”
