According to a report by Jarek “DeKay” Lewis, Swole Patrol is currently in discussions with Jørgen “cromen” Robertsen to join the team citing several sources.
Swole Patrol has had a rough go of it lately, losing three of its core players to other teams. Main-AWPer Austin “Cooper” Abadir famously left Swole Patrol as the team made a push for the ESL Mountain Dew League Finals this past November, infuriating his brother, Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir. For his part, freakazoid has recently been connected to Ghost Gaming as previously reported by DeKay. Finally, Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro was transferred to Cloud9 just this past week to the coaching role left vacant by Soham “valens” Chowdhury and is expected to play in the place of Cloud9’s oft indisposed IGL, Maikil “Golden” Selim, for the IEM Katowice Major.
Most recognizable for his short-term stints in teams like FAZE Clan and Heroic, Cromen is set to join newcomers Victor “food” Wong and Anthony “vanity” Malaspina to round out the Swole Patrol lineup that currently features Omar “MarKE” Jimenez and fan favorite Braxton “swag” Pierce.
As per ESEA Rules, Swole Patrol should retain their MDL spot as two players, swag and MarKE, are returning from last season.
As of today, Swole Patrol’s roster is as follows:
- Victor “food” Wong
- Anthony “vanity” Malaspina
- Omar “MarKE” Jimenez
- Braxton “swag” Pierce
- Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir
- Coach: Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu
