CSGO News: NRG Esports Sits Daps, Adds Stanislaw

NRG Esports made moves today, benching Damian “daps” Steele and signing Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz in his place.

NRG’s Counterstrike: Global Offensive outfit made a switch today, benching Damian “daps” Steele and adding Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz to the squad’s active roster.

Daps, a three-year veteran of the NRG squad, posted an explanation of the move to Pastebin, saying that his “current situation is uncertain” but that he is open to any offers “in any field,” leaving open the possibility of a coaching role in his future.

On the other hand, stanislaw was recently released by Complexity after a little over a year with the team. The Canadian IGL had previously spent time on Team Liquid after winning ELEAGUE Season 2 with OpTic Gaming.

NRG Loads Up

The move comes just as NRG will participate in the America’s Minor Closed Qualifier, the beginning of the road for teams that want to qualify for the upcoming StarLadder Berlin Major in August. According to reports, stanislaw will make his debut with NRG at the Closed Qualifier which starts tomorrow, June 12th. Following that, NRG has a date in Montpellier, France for the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals.

The HLTV Rankings currently have NRG ranked seventh after placing 3rd-4th at the ECS Season 7 Finals, IEM Sydney, and cs_summit IV.

As of today, the NRG roster is as follows:

  • Tarik “tarik” Celik
  • Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte
  • Ethan “Ethan” Arnold
  • Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov
  • Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz

  • Chet “ImAPet” Singh – Coach
