CS:GO: Na`Vi Beats Gambit To Win DreamHack Masters Spring

Gambit failed to have the last laugh this time.

Natus Vincere won 3-0 against Gambit Esports to claim the DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 title. The two teams went head to head in the competition’s grand finals, but Na`Vi pulled an absolute belter of a performance in the best-of-five matchup.

Although Na`Vi's form has not been terrible, they have had rough defeats in the past few tournaments. Especially against Gambit, who has been their rivals and have had an upper hand in the last three meetings between the two teams. However, the Ukraine-based organization has proved many people wrong by their sublime display of skills in the finals.

The first game took place on Overpass, where Na`Vi got a good eight-round advantage. Gambit came back into the game and did well to finish the first half at 10-5. However, Na'Vi was the better side and finished the first match 16-7.

The second match on Dust 2 went incredibly one-sided in Na'Vi's favor. Gambit won the first round but kept losing until the score was 11-1 in the Ukrainian team’s favor. It was only in the 13th round that Gambit started making a comeback, but it was too late, and Na`Vi claimed the second game 16-12.

The third game between the two rivals took place on Train. It was a balanced match with both teams playing well in the opening rounds. The first half ended 9-6 in Gambit’s favor. However, Denis “electronic” Sharipov played some brilliant rounds to win the match and the tournament for Natus Vincere.

With the DreamHack Masters Spring title, Na`Vi won $100,000 as prize money and 1000 Pro Tour points.
