CSGO: Guardian Comes Home to Na`Vi

Ladislav GuardiaN Kovács is returning to his former team, Natus Vincere, from FaZe Clan in order to fill out the roster after Danylo Zeus Teslenko's retirement.

After two long years, Na`Vi has announced the return of wayward AWPer Ladislav GuardiaN Kovács back into the fold to take the place of the recently retired Danylo Zeus Teslenko. Kovács' move from FaZe Clan back to Na`Vi comes after disappointing FaZe results and a heartbreaking Na`Vi defeat against NRG Esports in the StarLadder Berlin Major quarterfinals.

Joining Kovács, Na`Vi has also replaced coach Mikhaylo Kane Blagin with long-time Counterstrike fixture Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy. Since his move from the now-defunct FlipSid3 Tactics, Na`Vi employed Gorodenskiy as their Esports Director.

“It's nice to come back home, where I started my long journey as a professional player. I will do my best to give this team everything I can, for it to become the best team and to win a major. Thank you for this opportunity,” said Kovács.

When asked about the “new” look Na`Vi, Gorodenskiy had this to say on their future:

During the time I spent with guys at the tournaments, I was able to learn all the inner processes and analyze the way the team is working. It's obvious the roster needed a reboot — in my opinion, it was inevitable. So now I know for sure what needs to be changed, and how to develop the team further.
Some things need to be rebuilt, others need to be integrated for the first time. Sure, this is not an instant process and the team needs time to go to the new level. We set the highest goals, and we have confidence in our own abilities.
The support of the fans on the way to the championship is very important for us!

Na`Vi will play their first tournament with their new lineup at Dreamhack Masters Malmö 2019 in Malmö, Sweden starting on October 1st.

As of now, Natus Vincere's current lineup is as follows:

  • Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev
  • Kirill “BoombI4” Mikhailov
  • Denis “electroNic” Sharipov
  • Egor “flamie” Vasilev
  • Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács
  • Andrii “B1ad3” Gorodenskyi (coach)
  • Eugene “ug1n” Yerofeyev (manager)
