CSGO: Flashpoint Unveils Championship Trophy at the end of their Successful First Season

Flashpoint, Counter Strike's newest league, is set to conclude their inaugural season today. Along with the final few matches was the debut of Flashpoint's beautiful new trophy featuring an iconic weapon. The trophy will go to the victor of today's games, along with a hefty $500,000 prize.

The Consolidation Match will be played between HAVU Gaming and MAD Lions, with the winner moving on to face MIBR in the Finals for the grand prize. Flashpoint has delivered a fantastic tournament so far. During their spring series, they consistently ranked as a top 20 stream on Twitch, had 7 million hours of watch time and a peak viewership of 173,555 viewers. As a groundbreaking league, they're certainly living up to the expectations they set for themselves.

Dan Fiden, CEO of Cloud9 and founding team of B Site, Inc. elaborated on the success of the tournament thus far:

“The founding teams of Flashpoint set out with the goal to create the most entertaining, sustainable, and profitable CS:GO esports product focused on both what’s best for the teams and for fans everywhere. The matches leading up to this weekend have been intense and so much fun to watch. It’s also great to see the new team stories unfold, like with HAVU, who entered the tournament through the global qualifier rounds and now have a real shot to win it all.”

After such a success, fans are eager to watch the finals and look forward to a second season. Unfortunately, no dates have been set yet, but an announcement regarding Flashpoint 2 should be expected later in the summer.

Flashpoint consists of top esports organizations around the world, including Cloud9, MIBR, Dignitas, Gen.G, c0ntact Gaming, MAD Lions, Envy Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix. Watch it live on the Flashpoint Twitch channel!
