BIG have announced that with syrsoN down, Josef “faveN” Baumann will be taking the stage with them in Espoo instead.

There is no arguing that Florian “syrsoN” Rische is among the top-tier AWP players in the world. He has a key role for BIG, and his team relies on him to win events. However, they won’t be able to count on him for the Elisa Masters Espoo due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Replacement

Since the German superstar won’t be able to take part in the event, his team decided to call Josef “faveN” Baumann. The latter was a part of this team’s lineup before, so he is familiar with other players.

What’s interesting is that this change to BIG’s squad means the Elisa Masters Espoo will be the third event where they do not have access to their main roster. The team was considered to be the heavy favorite for this event, but after the changes, this is no longer the case.

The event

Regarding the tournament itself, the German team will start on November 16 and participate in several Bo1 matches. BIG is in Group A where it has to go against a couple of big names, such as ENCE and Sprout.
