The waiting is finally over as ESL revealed the 4 direct invites in a Tweet. According to the information, we will have the chance to watch the following names:
- MOUZ
- ENCE
- Outsiders
- Movistar Riders
In addition to these four teams, Nixuh from South Africa will also take part in the competition. This team earned its place after dominating in the South Africa n closed qualifiers. Speaking of the devil, the remaining participants will be determined by the quals in South America, Europe, and North America. They will start on September 14.
There are several big names that might find a place in Rotterdam, one of which is Sprout. We also expect to see the likes of paiN and Squirtle Squad, but it all depends on what will happen in the quals.
The event itself
ESL Challenger will take place in Rotterdam and will include an impressive prize pool of $100,000. Interestingly, this event will only include 8 teams and will start on October 14. The tournament will last two days, and the team that wins will receive a slot for the EPL Conference S17.
The 8 teams are divided into two groups of 4 teams each. The opening & Winners’ matches are Bo1, whereas the elimination and decider will be Bo3. In addition to the slot for the above-mentioned event, the winner will also receive $50,000.
