CSGO: Coldzera Reportedly to Play for FaZe at ESL One New York 2019

Looks like the rumors were true after all.

According to a report from Dexerto, Marcelo “coldzera” David's transfer to FaZe Clan is almost complete and should be finished in time for David to play under the FaZe banner at ESL One New York. If the move goes through, David will join other FaZe newcomer Helvijs “broky” Saukants as the replacements for Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács and Filip “NEO” Kubski, both of which left the team after FaZe's disastrous 13th-place exit from the StarLadder Berlin Major.

If David does end up playing with FaZe Clan at ESL One New York, it still won't be an easy road for the international super team. FaZe's Group B at ESL One New York has both Berlin Major winners Astralis and semifinalists NRG in it. OpTic Gaming, the fourth team in Group B, could even upset FaZe, especially given the international teams complete lack of form over the past year.

When and if David's transfer from Immortals Gaming Club goes through, FaZe's roster will be as follows:

  • Håvard “rain” Nygaard
  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer
  • Helvijs “brokey” Saukants (trial)
  • Marcelo “coldzera” David (rumored)
  • Janko “YNk” Paunović (coach)
