Cloud9 Replaced by Bad News Bears in ECS According to Reports

Bad News Bears will replace Cloud9 in ECS Season 7, according to a report by Dust2.us. The move is reportedly due to Cloud9’s difficulty in finding a fifth player to complete their roster.

Cloud9 has withdrawn from ECS Season 7, reportedly due to their inability to find a fifth player for their roster. According to Dust2.us, they will be replaced in ECS by Bad News Bears, who currently hold a 9-4 record in ESEA MDL Season 30.

After ending  Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro’s trial, Cloud9 has reportedly been in talks with ex-Mousesports rifler Miikka “suNny” Kemppi. Those talks apparently hit a rough patch as per an article by CS: GO reporter Jared “Dekay” Lewis. According to the article, suNny may be heading to the surprise Finnish team ENCE, who made it to the finals at the IEM Katowice Major earlier this month.  Prior to Zellsis’ departure, the team said goodbye to veteran Robin “flusha” Rönnquist. Flusha commented that he would be taking some time off from competitive Counterstrike after the death of his mother.

According to the report, FaceIt will reseed the ECS Season 7 bracket due to C9's withdrawal. North American team NRG will take the number one seed from Cloud9.
