Today, Cloud9 announced this double-signing in their typical fashion on their Twitter. According to the Global Contract Database, Dylan ‘runi’ Cade and Jake ‘jakee’ Anderson are signed with C9 until the end of 2025.

This announcement follows the news of C9 benching their star player Jaccob ‘yay’ Whiteaker and IGL Anthony ‘vanity’ Malaspina. Understandably, fans have shown mixed feelings about these changes, as yay is considered to be one of the best players in Valorant.
From the two new additions, runi comes with leadership experience under his belt, as he played the role of IGL for Soniqs, meaning he might take on the IGL role of vanity. However, jakee has only played for a collegiate team for the University of St. Thomas. With such minimal experience, it’s going to be hard for the newcomer to fill the shoes of yay.
After these signings, fans are awaiting the performance of the new roster in their match against Evil Geniuses in VCT Americas on April 2. Keep an eye on ESTNN for more news about roster changes and the upcoming Valoranth events!
