Captain America Makes His Fortnite Debut

Captain America has made his way into Fortnite: Battle Royale.


The rumors are true, and Marvel Comics character Captain America has found his way into Fortnite. With the recent release of Fortnite Patch v13.20, Twitter leakers hinted at the famous comic book character finding his way into the popular Battle Royale title. Today’s Fortnite item shop features Captain America in all his glory equipped with his patented shield.

Captain America’s Fortnite Skin

Nearly synced with the item shop, the Fortnite Twitter account released announced the Captain America character skin. Fortnite’s take on Captain America features much of what Marvel Comics fans are undoubtedly familiar with seeing. He is sporting the typical Steve Rogers garb, seen time and time again in movies, video games and comics. One of the cool aspects of Captain America’s skin is that all purchases include the character’s shield both as back bling and as a pick-ax. It adds more value to an ongoing partnership between Fortnite and Marvel.

How to get Captain America’s Fortnite Skin

Captain America’s Fortnite skin is available in the item shop for 2,000 V-Bucks. Players also have the option to purchase the patriotic pose of Captain America for 300 V-Bucks.

Epic Games Continues String of Exciting Partnerships

Fortnite has never shied away from its popularity as a video game. Since its release back in 2017, players have had the opportunity to acquire some exciting skins. Epic Games have featured skins for Batman, John Wick, Stranger Things, Borderlands, Star Wars and even the NFL. Captain America marks the fourth Marvel character to appear in Fortnite after Black Widow, Starlord and Deadpool. DC Comics character Aquaman is the featured skin in Chapter 2 – Season 3’s Battle Pass. Let’s not forget about the Fortnite x Avengers End Game collaboration, which gifted the players the ability to control Thanos.

The team behind Fortnite continues to strike up exciting partnerships. Hopefully, they will continue to expand on these sorts of endeavors in the future.
