Some positive news and opportunities for the North American Counterstrike scene.

The qualifiers will start from March 7-21. The winners of open qualifiers will then face five invited teams in the closed qualifier. Starting later in April, BLAST Premier Spring Showdown in Europe will include winners of closed qualifiers.
The Blast Premier Spring Showdown offers a prize pool of $162,500 and a couple of spots in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals. Qualifying teams will also earn $25,000 as a participation fee and a bootcamp in Europe.
It is eminent that the Stockholm-based platform will not only help in conducting the qualifiers, but the move itself will help many small teams in the North American region. Compared to Europe, the NA competitive Counterstrike lacks luster. Many renowned esports organizations like Chaos Esports switched to Valorant after they could not support a CS:GO lineup. Simple yet effective moves by tournament platforms can help develop the stage for new teams to emerge and keep the competitive Counterstrike of North America alive.
