BIG vs MOUZ Preview and Predictions: Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2023

BIG and MOUZ will renew their rivalry at the BIG vs MOUZ IEM Rio first-round fixture

MOUZ get a fantastic chance to avenge their humiliating 16-7 defeat to BIG in the last IEM Rio, as the two sides return to the Brazilian capital to take on each other in their IEM Rio 2023 opener. MOUZ will get the nod from most CSGO betting enthusiasts as the favorites, as they have been in better form since the two sides last met in November. BIG, however, will hope that the thrill of a German derby will bring out the best in them.

BIG

BIG have struggled to beat superiorly ranked teams in recent months, which has sent them tumbling down the leaderboard. They lost to Vitality in their previous match, where BIG failed to make the most out of their 16-10 Mirage win. Vitality equalized with a 16-9 Nuke victory, and they were even more ruthless in the decisive Overpass map, which the French side won by 16-7.

MOUZ

MOUZ clinched the last available direct qualification spot for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 with a big win over FaZe. Now, they can focus on improving upon their 3rd-4th finish at the IEM Rio 2022, where their journey ended with a 1-2 defeat to Outsiders. MOUZ will look to add more woes to their compatriot’s wounds and go off to a flying start.

The Old One
When he's not sighing at sub-standard teammates in Dota 2 and CS2, The Old One is writing about those two games (among other things). If you see his name around the site too many times for your liking, well, the guy just never stops writing. Yes, we've tried an intervention.
