BIG vs Cloud9 Preview and Predictions: Paris Major 2023 European RMR Decider

BIG vs Cloud9 in the European RMRs will see two of the world’s best teams fighting for keeping their Paris Major hopes alive

Cloud9 and BIG are two of the biggest names in the competitive Counter-Strike scene, but one of them will be missing out on the finals. BIG had been going through a rough patch before the RMRs, so it’s not much of a surprise that the Germans find their Paris Major dreams hanging by a thread. Cloud9, on the other hand, have experienced a sudden dip in form that brought them to this situation. Regardless, they will be the CSGO betting favorites for this tie.

BIG had a winning start to the RMRs as they effortlessly beat 500 in their opening match. Vitality and Ninjas In Pyjamas gave them a reality in the next two matches, but the German outfit managed to hold on to a glimer of hope as they beat Falcons 2-0 in their previous to stay in contention of a Paris Major spot.

Cloud9 had won the BetBoom Playlist Urbanistic and finished second in the ESL Pro League Season 17 before the RMRs began, so they were one of the favorites to qualify for the Paris Major finals. Successive defeats to G2 and ENCE have made the equation far more complex for the Russians. A win against B8 kept them alive in the competition, but they still have a rocky road ahead.

The Old One
When he's not sighing at sub-standard teammates in Dota 2 and CS2, The Old One is writing about those two games (among other things). If you see his name around the site too many times for your liking, well, the guy just never stops writing. Yes, we've tried an intervention.
