When talking about Dota 2 cosmetic items, most people probably think of Arcanas. In fact, the Crownfall Update from a few weeks ago gave us access to two new Arcanas, both of which are amazing. 

Even though these cosmetic items are usually expensive, the ones that stand out are the different couriers. Dota 2 is full of options that cost a lot of money and have many fans, and Amaterasu is among them.

Amaterasu courier is one of those items that everyone wants to have.  It allows you to have Okamni Amaterasu, the sun goddess in your arsenal and use it to carry your teams in the game. There is a lot to talk about Amaterasu Dota 2, so let’s learn more about it.

What makes this Dota 2 courier is the way it looks. Originally released in 2017, the only way for people to get their hands on it was by purchasing Okami HD. This was a game that became available in 2017, and those who got it also received Amaterasu as a Dota 2 bonus.

Considering this was more than 7 years ago, and there is no other way of obtaining this courier, it’s no surprise Amaterasu Dota 2 is highly sought after. Valve listed to the public and the fact that they liked it, so in early 2023, they gave us access to the Candyworks update. This was when players had the chance to get it.

The courier’s price

Considering the fact that it is extremely rare, Amaterasu Dota 2 is a courier that would cost a fortune. For better or worse, however, we do not know how much it would go for because this is not one of the items found on the Stem Market. 

What we have access to is data that shows people who sell their accounts that have this courier. The fact that Dota 2 players are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a random account just because of the courier is impressive. 

Is Amaterasu Dota 2 Worth it?

The answer to this question is yes, but only if you had the chance to get the courier when it was available. Assuming you need to buy an account just to access this option, we would say it is definitely not worth it.

Despite being rare and gorgeous to look at, Amaterasu is not the only top-tier courier that people can choose from. The courier is really expensive, and it’s just not worth going to all of the problems with buying an account. Needless to say, this also breaks the rules.
