WoW 10.2 Legendary Axe Fyr’alath the Dream Render

Fyr'alath the Dream Render is the new 10.2 Legendary Axe coming to any willing melee in a patch near you.

So, we know we've got a new Legendary Axe coming in patch 10.2, and it's pretty nice. Look, we knew we'd get another legendary item in this patch, and while Druid might be fuming that it's not for them, some sort of strength two-hander was the most likely outcome. Though, why not one more Hunter bow while we're at it?

Update Season 3 start:

It looks like the Legendary Axe will indeed work like the Evoker one in the previous season. In that, we'll need to see Fyrakk die on Mythic first before the item “unlocks” in the loot table. Once that happens, however, we suspect players will then need to complete a quest chain, that will likely involve at the very least crafting a weaker version of the axe.

Update 10.2 release:

We still know little about the Axe, with us now likely needing to wait until the raid drops to find out how to get the axe.

10.2 Legendary Axe Fyr'alath the Dream Render

So, here we have it, a lovely new strength weapon for Death Knights, Paladin, and Warriors. You can see the model below, courtesy of Wowhead's datamining efforts. Right now, we don't have an official drop point… but considering Fyrakk is using it, we assume he'll drop it. As with previous Legendary drops Fyr'alath the Dream Render will likely drop in all forms of the Amirdrassil The Dream’s Hope, though with different stats and maybe a weaker drop rate.

So right now the axe isn't looking very legendary… obviously, the axe will come into the game files soon, and when it does we'll add it to the notes here. We suspect it will be very good, however, and likely have some sort of equipt effect as we've seen with the past few legendaries.

So, we can be pretty sure that this little number is going to drop from Fyrakk. While it's not on the journal just yet, as you can see from the concept art below, Fyrakk has always been the intended wielder of the axe, and given its style it fits the bill.

Who can use Fyr'alath the Dream Render

With the axe being strength only, it will be the exclusive use of the meaty Plate lads and lasses. Sorry Hunters, this one is not for you.

For now, we need to wait a little longer for the full details, either when patch 10.2 drops or, more likely, when the raid releases a week later.
