Donald Trump has been temporarily suspended from Twitch.
United States President Donald J. Trump received a suspension from the popular Twitch streaming website earlier today. Esports insider Rod “Slasher” Breslau reported the news on his Twitter account. According to Slasher, President Trump’s ban came down due to ‘hateful conduct.’

Although the exact details are unclear, Slasher informed the masses on Twitch’s reasoning for issuing the ban to President Trump’s channel in a follow-up tweet.
Twitch has provided the following statement:
"Hateful conduct is not allowed on Twitch. In line with our policies, President Trump’s channel has been issued a temporary suspension from Twitch for comments made on stream"

“Hateful conduct is not allowed on Twitch. In line with our policies, President Trump’s channel has been issued a temporary suspension from Twitch for comments made on stream.”
CNN reports that the comments referred to in Twitch’s statement took place in 2016, where President Trump called Mexicans rapists and criminals. The video in question recently aired on the President’s campaign Twitch channel, resulting in the temporary suspension. Twitch spokesperson Briellle Villablanca stated that another video aired from the recent Tulsa rally. Similarly, this violated the streaming website’s policies. In that clip, President Trump referred to a Mexican man as a “very tough hombre” breaking into the house of a “young woman.”
Twitch did not clarify how long President Trump’s ban will last. This ban comes mere days after popular streamer Guy “DrDisrespect” Beahm IV received a permanent removal from the platform for no evident reason.
Finally, neither President Trump nor any of his campaign affiliates have addressed the Twitch ban.
