Young-jin “Gamsu” Noh leaves Shanghai Dragons and joins the Dallas Fuel.

The Shanghai Dragons have announced the departure of their main tank. Young-jin “Gamsu” Noh. Gamsu will leave the team and join the Dallas Fuel. Shanghai announced the acceptamce of the trade on Twitter, “with respect to his decision.”

Noh stated on Twitter he'd “had many good memories with [the] team and achieved a lot together.” As the team's main tank, Noh helped Shanghai overcome their disastrous first season in the Overwatch League. Winning 13 games and helping Shanghai make the playoff for the OWL Season 2.

Noh was the only Shanghai Dragon player listed as a free agent at the start of the Overwatch League offseason this year. According to some leaks revealed accidentally by analyst Josh “Sideshow” Wilkinson on a stream, the Shanghai Dragons traded Gamsu to the Dallas Fuel for a $240,000 salary. Noh joins his former teammate from Boston Uprising, Lucas “NotE” Meissner. The tank duo showed great chemistry, and this reunion will secure Boston’s front line this new season.

Noh has a long history as a professional player. He began his career in esports on League of Legends. Playing as a top laner for Samsung Galaxy Blue, Team Dignitas and Fnatic. He switched to Overwatch early 2016 and focussed on improving on Blizzard’s shooter. His first team was CONBOX, a South Korean team he led for almost a year. Noh was then drafted into the Overwatch League, first with Boston Uprising, then the Shanghai Dragons, and now, Dallas Fuel.

Gamsu has yet to win a title on the Overwatch League. Thanks to his experience on the main stage and his new team, a new era might be beginning for the main tank player.
