After a two-week tryout, Thomas “zYKK” Hosono joins the Toronto Defiant with a long-term contract.
Thomas “zYKK” Hosono is staying with the Toronto Defiant after his two-week tryout, as the French player is now signing a long-term contract with the Overwatch League team.

Toronto Defiant previously signed Hosono on a two-week contract. This tryout appears to be successful, as the team announced signing the player to a permanent contract. He joined the team prior to the May Melee tournament. Toronto Defiant won 3-2 against the other Overwatch League Canadian team, Vancouver Titans, before losing 0-3 to the Atlanta Reign.
During the week 19 of the Overwatch League, Toronto Defiant swept once against the Vancouver Titans with a final score of 3-0. Week 20 wasn’t as easy for the team, as they faced once again the Atlanta Reign, who won 3-0 once again, just like in the May Melee tournament.
Hosono is the second player the Toronto Defiant signed in June 2020. The team signed main tank player Seb “numlocked” Barton earlier this month to strengthens its front line. Toronto Defiant’s next game will be against the Dallas Fuel, on June 27.
