Infante has a successful past leading Contenders teams to victory. He began his coaching career in early 2017, as the esports scene of Overwatch was just getting some traction. His first team, Laser Kittenz, was soon bought by Cloud9. The team secured the 3-4th place of the Overwatch Contenders 2017 Season Zero and Season One in Europe.
The coach then joined the Houston Outlaws’ academy team: GG Esports Academy, commonly known as GGEA. He coached the team for one season, and ended up on the 3-4th place of the Overwatch Contenders once again — this time in North America. Infante transitioned to the Fusion University, Philadelphia Fusion’s academy team. The Fusion University got all the major titles. Winning the Overwatch Contenders in North America twice in a row and taking home the Atlantic Showdown trophy.
His last position as a coach prior to joining the Toronto Defiant was with Talon Esports; a Hong Kong esports organization competing in the Overwatch Contenders Pacific. The team won the first season of this competition, sweeping all opponents.
With the Toronto Defiant, Infante will not only help Head Coach David “Lilbow” Moschetto and Assistant Coach Alban “Albless” de la Grange, but will also ensure the strategy and scouting for the team. He will work alongside Dennis “Barroi” Matz, current strategic coach for the Toronto Defiant, and identify players with a great potential to help the team reach the top of the Overwatch League.
