Ji-Sub “paJion” Hwang was Vancouver Titans’ Head Coach from the team’s creation to its disband last April. He helped the team reach the second place of the Overwatch League 2019 Playoffs, losing to the Grand Champions San Francisco Shock. One of his players, Hyojong “Haksal” Kim, even won the Overwatch Rookie of the Year award, outlining the coaching staff’s work over the year.
Prior to joining Vancouver Titans, Hwang coached the Fusion University, Philadelphia Fusion’s academy team in the Overwatch Contenders. Under his supervision, the team won both the Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 1 and 2 in North America.
The Hangzhou Spark signed Hwang as their Assistant Coach. He will replace Young-su “yeah” Jung, who left the team last month. Hwang will work alongside Head Coach Muho “Mask” Lee and Assistant Coach Chen “U4” Congshan. With the addition of Hwang and Minho “Architect” Park, the Hangzhou Spark is building a stronger roster to climb the Overwatch League ladder.
