Overwatch 2 Season 7 Tank Tier List – The Heroes To Get

Here is the Overwatch 2 Season 7 Tank tier list that will reveal which heroes to get. There are a lot of changes, so let’s dive in.

Overwatch 2 Season 7 arrived a few days ago, bringing many changes to all positions, including thanks. We’ve already covered the best and worst Support and DPS heroes to get in Season 7, so now, it’s time to look at the most important role in the game.

Truth be told, most of the top tanks in S6 will continue to have an important role in Overwatch 2 Season 7. Let’s get started and learn some information about the changes, as well as what we need to know regarding the hottest tanks. Also, remember to look at the full change log before you start playing.

Overwatch 2 Season 7 Tank Tier List –  F-Tier

We’re starting from the bottom up, which means that the F-Tier heroes are Overwatch 2 Season 7 tanks that are just not worth getting. Some heroes may work if you are really good with them, but they do not bring that much value.

Roadhog

It’s no surprise Roadhog is the first hero in the list when it comes down to Overwatch 2 Season 7 tanks that are not worth picking. He should have received a complete rework, similar to Sombra, but this did not happen. As a result, he continues to be the good old Hog who doesn’t really do much.

The hero has been trying to recover from the Hookshot combo nerf for several seasons, but things haven’t been going well. Consequently, he remains one of the worst heroes. We expect to see the reworks a couple of weeks from now.

Wrecking Ball

Despite the fact that Ball received buffs in Season 7, the hero continues to be weaker than most carries. It is really hard for him to secure kills, and pretty much all popular supports can escape when they want to. Consequently, the hero is just not that good, and many other heroes outperform them.

It is also worth knowing that Wrecking Ball is tough to master, which is another thing that people often forget about. Consequently, it’s just not worth the hassle because other tanks have way more impact and are easier to play.

D-Tier

The heroes in the Overwatch 2 Season 7 Tank Tier list placed in the D-Tier can work, but they’re not that strong.

Winston

Winston’s pretty good in the meta, but he is not strong against some of the top DPS like Bastion. In other words, the hero will only work with a specific setup and against certain lineups. Be careful when picking him because some of the hottest DPS heroes can kill him really fast.

C-Tier

The C-Tier tanks are good in most setups but they excel differently from the other Overwatch 2 Season 7 Tank Tier List.

Reinhardt

Rein is a solid pick in almost all situations, except for when he has to play against high-burst damage opponents. Consequently, heroes like Bastion are really hard for the Overwatch 2 Season 7 tank because they can bring down his shield in seconds.

Rein works well with heroes like Lucio and Bastion, but he is not worth getting without them. That said, Rein’s ultimate is really good, so keep that in mind when playing with or against him.

Zarya

The next Overwatch 2 tank we want to talk about is Zarya, a hero who received changes in the most recent patch. She was just starting to become one of the hottest options to get because of her buffs, but the most recent updates nerf them back. As a result, the hero is just not as good as she was.

Nevertheless, Zarya is an option that can easily rip through her enemies as long as she has good teammates. Generally speaking, this is a tank that’s most effective versus opponents who do not know how to play against it.

Doomfirst

When it comes down to the Overwatch 2 Season 7 Tank Tier list, it’s important to know that Doom is a hero that can be placed in the F-tier as well, depending on who’s playing. The hero is really complex and will only work well in the hands of people who know how to use him. Currently, he works well in several matchups, and the hero is good against Sombra.

In terms of the tank vs tank matchups, Doomfirst works against the majority of other Overwatch 2 Season 7 tanks. This even includes Orisa, who received a small nerf.

B-Tier

The B-Tier heroes are powerful and can win games more easily than others.

D.Va

Although some people may place D.Va in the C-tier, we believe the hero has what it takes to be among the best. Considering Zarya’s nerfed, D.va is even better because she can dive more and do more damage. The hero is good against many annoying combos and can always play aggressively when needed.

A-Tier

The tanks are definitely some of the best in the game, and following the Overwatch 2 Season 7 Tank Tier list, we expect to see them more in action.

Ramattra

Once the best tank in Overwatch 2, Ramattra hasn’t been the most dominating name in S6. However, the hero received an important buff in Season 7, which makes it one of the best in the game. He is a pretty solid pick can play even more aggressively than before, and has a pretty good range.

We would’ve put him in the S-Tier, but the hero can be countered, so players have to be more careful.

S-Tier

The S-tier heroes on our Overwatch 2 Season 7 tank tier list are the best in the game right now.

Orisa

Orisa has been ripping through Overwatch 2 for a while now and continues to be the best option. The hero does insane damage, can push really fast, and it is really hard to kill. Blizzard decided to change this by reducing her Fortify’s power by 5%, but this is not enough to remove the hero from the S-tier.

Orisa’s incredible damage output, stun, and everything else make the hero the go-to option.

Sigma

Next, we have the poke combo king – Sigma. The hero is great against pretty much all tanks right now and can do a lot of damage. Although he’s a bit harder to master than Orisa and some of the other offensive heroes, he can work in almost all situations.

Junker Queen

Although some of you may put JQ in the A-tier, we believe she is one of the best Overwatch 2 Season 7 tanks right now. The fact that a lot of other names received nerfs allows Junker Queen to be a lot stronger than before. Her damage output is incredibly strong, and she is flexible. Needless to say, this is one of the best tanks in a Brawl setup.
