Overwatch 2 Most Successful DPS Heroes in Season 6 So Far

Here are some of the heroes with the highest win rate in Overwatch 2 Season 6 so far.

Overwatch: Invasion is now available, and a lot of people think that this will be the patch that will revive our favorite game. The Overwatch 2 Season 6 changes added a lot of new things to the game, such as new events, modes, maps, and even a new hero called Illari. In case you haven’t had the chance to test it yet, check our Illari hero guide for more information about what she offers.

Alongside the different changes to Overwatch 2 itself, Season 6 also brought a lot of buffs and nerfs to some of our favorite heroes. Even though some of them do not seem that big on paper, there’s a lot to consider. As expected, those changes affected the current meta, which is why it’s time to look at some of the most successful DPS heroes in Season 6 of Overwatch 2.

Keep in mind that the data we’re about to reveal is based on the competitive bracket played on PC. Naturally, there are some differences if you look at the quick play skill bracket or on a console.

Symmetra

Even though most people probably did not expect to find Symmetra here because the hero is not that popular in terms of picks, she’s the Overwatch 2 most successful DPS hero in Season 6 so far. With around a 52.66% win rate, she is above the rest, meaning she’s among the best options you can get if you need a hero that will win your games.

What’s interesting about Symmetra is that she’s not one of the DPS heroes in Overwatch 2 that received a lot of changes. In fact, the only new thing is the ping to her Teleporter, which functions the same way as Illari’s Healing Pylon. In other words, there aren’t any other changes related to the hero’s abilities or playstyle.

Symmetra remains a solid option when there are chokepoints and places the team needs to go to using the Teleporter. We also have to address her ultimate and the fact that a lot of people underestimate it. However, those who know how to use it will see that it’s one of the best in the game.

Soldier: 76

Soldier 76

The second interesting name on the list of the Overwatch 2 most successful DPS heroes in Season 6 is Soldier: 76. Those who’ve played during Season 5 are probably not impressed by it because Soldier was the strongest hero in the game. He received a lot of buffs that made him way more dangerous than pretty much everyone else.

With that said, he lost some of his win rate because his current stats are around 51.10%. Even though this is not bad when compared to the rest, he used to have around 55% and up. The reason for the change is that Overwatch 2: Invasion nerfed some of his abilities.

According to the new patch, Soldier: 76’s ultimate costs 10% more resources to use, and the damage of his Helix Rocket is 80 instead of 90. This means that the hero has more difficulting killing his target during Season 6, which is a substantial nerf.

Remember that Season 6 of Overwatch 2 became available a few days ago, so there might be even more changes to Soldier’s win rate.

Genji

Another very interesting name that most of you probably did not expect to find on the list. Following the Overwatch 2 Season 6 update, Genji continues to be one of the game's most successful Competitive DPS heroes, and for a good reason. He offers insane mobility, a lot of damage, and an ultimate that is capable of winning any fight.

One of the interesting things is that this is among the Overwatch 2 most successful DPS heroes in Season 6 so far because he received 3 substantial buffs. Starting with his Shuriken, the latter deal 29 instead of 27 damage, which means Genji can burst his target much faster.

Deflect also got a buff because the ability lasts 3s instead of 2s. Finally, Dragonblade will now last 8s instead of 6s, which increases his damage output a lot. With that said, those changes are only active in the co-op, meaning that people who play the Overwatch 2: Invasion Story Missions will have access to them. When it comes down to competitive play, Genji’s skills remain the same.

Pharah

The hero Pharah from Blizzard's Overwatch franchise

There are a couple of evergreen Overwatch 2 combos, and one of them involves Pharah and Mercy. Even though the latter is slightly weaker than before, the stats from Season 6 of Overwatch 2 reveal that Pharah continues to be one of the best DPS heroes. Interestingly, she’s the last DPS in the game with over a 50% win rate in competitive play.

Following the Overwatch 2: Invasion, Pharah did not get any changes to her kit, at least when it came down to competitive play. Therefore, she remains a solid option in situations where the team needs to do a lot of AoE damage.

Those who decide to play co-op will have the chance to experience a lot of interesting changes to the hero. Starting with her Hover Jet and Jump Jet those things now increase her movement speed by 30%. Concussive Last’s explosion damage is also 30 instead of 0, and her Barrage explosion damage s up fro 30 to 35. Lastly, the hero’s maximum fuel is up by 20%, meaning she can stay in the air much longer than before.

Honorable mentions

Aside from the heroes mentioned earlier, there are a few other Overwatch 2 DPS heroes that deserve more attention, such as Torbn and Junkrat. They are close to Pharah in terms of then win rate, so we wouldn’t be surprised if they surpass her in the future.

Speaking of surpassing something, Bastion is the Overwatch 2: Invasion DPS hero that received the most changes. Even though it doesn’t seem like they have that big of an impact yet, the many buffs could mean that we may see Bastion on the list of the most successful heroes in the future.
