Here is everything important from the latest Overwatch 2 Dev Blog, and believe us there is a lot. Let’s learn what we can expect to get from the upcoming update in our favorite game.
The Overwatch Directors take is one of the things that a lot of people are looking forward to because they can learn more about the future of their favorite game. After hearing from the dev team for a while, we finally learned what to expect from Overwatch 2 in the future. Let’s dive in
Venture is Here
In case you don’t remember, we had the chance to use the first non-binary Overwatch 2 hero for a couple of days. With that said, the Overwatch 2 Dev Blog finally said that Venture is coming to the game.
According to the dev, a lot of people want to know more about the hero’;s background and personality, so we can expect to learn everything soon. In fact, it became clear that this info will become available shortly after Season 10 begins. It seems like a lot of people liked Venture because of the voice of Valeria Rodriguez.
While on the topic of Venture, Overwatch 2’s team said that it is likely to see the hero release early into the game’s competitive mode. It also became clear that there won’t be that many changes to her. However, there are a few things that we can expect at the start of Season 10:
- Drill Dash and Clobber will do slightly less initial damage and will do damage over time
- Tectonic Shock’s vertical knockback will be slightly reduced
Overwatch 2 Dev Blog – Other Hero Changes
Besides some of the nerfs for Venture, the Overwatch developer blog also said that there will be changes to some heroes. Starting with tanks, Junker Queen’s Carnage and Rein’s Earthshatter will be stronger than before.
With that said, it seems like Wrecking Ball will be the hero that will receive the most changes out of any tank in Overwatch 2 Season 10. Here is what we can expect:
- Grappling Hook improvements – reduced CD when not entering ramming speed, and he will be able to retract himself to where the Grapple is attached.
- Adaptive SHiewlds – After using the ability, you will be able to reactivate it and transfer up to 300 overhealth to allies (75 per ally in total). This will make the hero a lot better at protecting his allies.
Some DPS heroes will also receive changes, according to the Overwatch Directors Take. Sombra and Tracer are the two heroes who will be affected the most. Sombra’s Virus, for example, will do 90 instead of 100 damage over time.
In terms of Tracer, the hero will receive “light changes” so that she becomes more “punishable” and requires more precision to play.
Some of the Overwatch 2 support hero will also receive different changes. Lucio, Illari, and Moira will be affected the most because some of their abilities will be nerfed in favor of others. In the case of Illari, her primary fire recovery time will be slightly higher, but she will get more power to her Secondary Fire heal.
Conclusion
What we’ve learned from the Overwatch dev update is that Season 10 will bring a lot of buffs and nerfs to some of our favorite heroes. Season 10 is just around the corner because it will begin on April 16. Make sure you follow us for more information because we will cover everything you need to know about it.
