The Obsessed Cupid is one of the Shadow enemies that is making a return from the original Persona 3 game. It looks like a small cupid baby with wings that has a completely black body and a dark magenta face. It has stitches along the seam of its face and has “VI” written in white on its forehead. the only locations of the cupid where it shows up are on the sixth to fifteenth floors i.e., 6F to 15F on Block 1 or Thebel. It has the Lovers Arcana and wields a silver bow and arrow which it uses to perform basic attacks on its foes.

Here are the skill details of the cupid in the game:

  • Pierce Attack: This is a Piercing attribute skill that deals with a Normal or Light Attack.

  • Garu: This skill is a damage-dealing Wind skill that deals light damage to one foe.

How to Defeat the Obsessed Cupid

Now, as mentioned before, the only locations of the cupid where it shows up are on the sixth to fifteenth floors i.e., 6F to 15F on Block 1 or Thebel. It shows up randomly throughout these floors because every time you enter the Tartarus, the layout and re-rolled, so no journey is similar. As the Obsessed Cupid is weak to the Ice element, it is natural that you need to deal damage to it with Ice skills. For this, we recommend having the Apsaras Mithra Persona equipped, as you will need to use it on the fifth floor or 5F against the Ruthless Ice Ravens anyway.

You will mainly need the Ice Element Skill known as Bufu from the Apsaras Mithra Persona to get rid of the cupid quickly. Bufu is a light attack that deals Ice damage to one foe when used. It has 50 Power alongside having 95% accuracy, which guarantees a direct hit on the cupid. It also only consumes 4 SP power and the cupid only has 51 HP so one hit is all it will take to defeat it. You can use this exact attack every single time you encounter the Obsessed Cupid, as it is a guaranteed tactic for defeating it.

Conclusion

Needless to say, defeating the cupid is quite easier than you might have thought it to be. It is as simple as dealing with one light attack to eliminate it instantly. Keep in mind that the weaknesses of a Shadow enemy play the most vital role in defeating it, which is why you target the cupid with an Ice Element Skill known as Bufu. Since it only has low HP, a light attack is enough to defeat it.

Hence, make sure to read up on the all information given above about the Obsessed Cupid in Persona 3 Reload and learn how to defeat it quickly when you enter the Tartarus again to go through Block 1 or Thebel’s 22 different floors.
