LoL: Johnsun Joins FlyQuest For 2021

One of NA's rising stars is joining FlyQuest in 2021.

The LoL free agency period just opened up and FlyQuest has announced another big move. For next year, they'll be bringing in Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen from Dignitas. He'll be replacing FlyQuest's former ADC player Jason “WildTurtle” Tran.

Johnsun debuted on the LCS stage with Dignitas this year and quickly turned heads. Even though Dignitas largely struggled throughout the season, Johnsun was playing exceptionally well. Many have high hopes for this player moving forward as he develops. Johnsun has a ton of potential and with the proper support, he might be able to turn into a top NA talent.

He'll be paired alongside David “Diamond” Bérubé, former C9 Academy support player. They're two relatively younger plays but, from what they've shown, there's a good chance they'll make quite a mark on the LCS stage together. Diamond is joining FlyQuest with other former C9 players Cristian “Palafox” Palafox and Eric “Licorice” Ritchie. The org also signed Matthew “Deftly” Chen and jungler Brandon Joel “Josedeodo” Villegas last night, though with this signing, it seems like Deftly will be moving to Academy while Johnsun takes the starting role.

FlyQuest had a stellar 2020 season, making it to both split Finals and the World Championships. Now, with a completely new, young roster, they'll be looking to do it again. The odds seemed stacked against them but the young roster will do everything they can to prove themselves to NA and fans around the world.
