Evil Geniuses has made their first move of the transfer window as they sign support Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun from FlyQuest.
The signing of IgNar means that Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam will now be available in the free agency market. The move will see FlyQuest lose yet another part of their major Worlds 2020 roster, as they’re set for a refresh in 2021.
IgNar joins Evil Geniuses with a huge CV of experience, having played for Schalke 04, bbq Olivers, Misfits Gaming, and KT Rolster. IgNar has played around the world and will be a major pickup for Evil Geniuses as they look to make big changes for 2021. Not much is known about Evil Geniuses plans for 2021, though with the signing of a new head coach in former MAD Lions coach Peter Dun, they’ll certainly have the backroom staff to support it.
With the sale of Heo “Huni” Seun-hoon to TSM, Evil Geniuses was also able to sign top laner Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong from Team Liquid and Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui from the TSM Academy. The only lane left to resolve for Evil Geniuses now is the mid lane with Daniele “Jizuke” di Mauro unlikely to remain with the roster. Evil Geniuses are one of the sides possibly linked with the signing of Tim “Nemesis” Lipovsek from Fnatic.
Regardless, Evil Geniuses has the making of a solid roster but we won’t know the full extent of what they have planned for a little while yet.
