ESPN is reporting that Immortals is finalizing deals for three players, top laner Paul “sOAZ” Boyer, AD carry Johnny “Altec” Ru and support Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent.
The three new additions will join jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett and Noh “Arrow” Dong-hyeon and recent addition Jake “Xmithie” Puchero. It’s assumed that Dardoch and Arrow will either move on from Immortals or play in the Academy roster. The team also signed a new contract with mid laner Lee “Crown” Min-ho, however, he was today signed by Counter Logic Gaming to replace its outgoing mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage.
Jacob Wolf has reported that despite the roster changes Immortals will retain OpTic’s League of Legends management and coaching staff, which includes team manager Keaton Cryer and coaches Thomas “Zaboutine” Si-Hassen and Kublai “Kubz” Barlas.
As things stand Immortals is just looking to sign a new mid laner with a possible import option also open to them. The current roster is:
Top – Soaz
Jungle -Xmithie
ADC – Altec
Support -Hakuho
Immortals had a lot of success in the NA LCS when it was apart of it back in 2016 – 2017, with the organization just missing out to TSM at the 2017 Summer Playoffs. With the signing of Xmithie, who was one of the top free agents and these new signing, Immortals is looking to carry on from where they left off when they last had a team in the North American LCS.
