The Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been the talk of the town in the CoD community. After the poor performance in the campaign and the constant cycle of bugs and patches in multiplayer, players are looking into the Zombies game mode for new features. It is one of the random events that have caught the eyes of players. The Mercenary Convoys are random events that happen on the map of Urzikstan during a Zombies match.

The Convoy spawns as a part of the Inceptor mission, which is a Tier 2 mission in Act 1. This is the only Tier 2 mission in the first act of the campaign. After taking out a convoy, you need to collect its keycard for the mission.

How to Destroy a Mercenary Convoy in CoD: MW3 Zombies

Destroying the Merc Convoy is not as hard as it may seem. There are a few things you need to keep in mind, and play the whole thing very patiently. Also, it is better to play in a Squad for this part as there may be many things happening at once. For a solo player, these may be too hard to manage all alone at once.

How to Stop The Convoy

Finding the Convoy is the hard part of the mission. Once you’ve found it, you can make it stop easily. Just take a few shots at it. It is better to use explosives initially to do some damage, but they will stop at normal bullets as well.

How to Destroy The Convoy

After stopping, they will get down from their Convoy and start to engage you. The simplest way to finish this part is by killing them all. Long-ranged weapons are ideal here. You can pick off the enemies from a distance from behind cover. That way, they can’t do much damage either.

One more thing you need to keep in mind is that zombies will be able to attack you during this part as well. So you need to worry about both the mercs and the zombies. That's why it is best to keep your distance from the convoy so that you don’t get overrun by both. You will be able to manage all the zombies around you and pick off the convoy simultaneously. It’s probably easier to complete with a squad compared to a solo run.

Killing the Mercenaries should finish the stage of the mission. Even if that doesn’t work, you can try to explode some of the convoy vehicles with explosives. That should trigger the end.

How to Find the Keycard

After you’ve killed all the mercs and completed the stage, look for the blue keycard among the bodies of the dead mercs. Their highest-ranking officer should have it. Usually, it's the Sergeant who has it floating over their body.

Grab the card to finish the mission. The card is a Stronghold Keycard, which will be needed in future missions.
