Trailblazers across the world will unite once more as Mihoyo’s addictive turn-based game Honkai Star Rail gets its much-awaited version 2.1 soon. The current version 2.0 was a massive hit with the patch bringing a plethora of high quality content such as the new map Penacony and the story that’s set in it. 

With a rich story and vibrant characters, Mihoyo never fails to disappoint with every coming patch and it looks like they intend to keep up their track record with the upcoming version 2.1 so let’s take a look at everything it will offer, starting from the character banners to the rewards you’ll get in the patch.

Honkai Star Rail 2.1 Release Date

Honkai Star Rai’s version 2.1 will go live starting from March 27th, 2024.  Players can expect to start the pre-download in a few days.

Honkai Star Rail 2.1 – Banners and Characters

2.1’s patch will include the following character up for grabs, with increased chances of obtaining them:

Phase 1:

• Acheron: 5-star Lighting character (Path of Nihility)
• Luocha: 5-star Imaginary character (Path of Abundance)
• Pela: 4-star Quantum character (Path of Nihility)
• Dan Heng: 4-star Wind character (Path of The Hunt)
• Gallagher: 4-star Fire character (Path of Abundance)

Phase 2:

• Aventurine: 5-star Imaginary character (Path of Preservation)
• Jingliu: 5-star Ice character (Path of Destruction)
• Lynx: 4-star Ice character (Path of Abundance)
• Luka: 4-star Physical character (Path of Nihility)
• Serval: 4-star Lightning character (Path of Erudition)

As we can see, phase 1 will include the much-awaited Acheron, who, players might notice, is Honkai Star Rail’s equivalent of Raiden Shogun from Genshin Impact, even sharing the same voice actor. Similarly, phase 2 will include another new character, Aventurine, who will be one of the very few Path of Preservation characters in the game right now.

Other powerful 5-star characters will be getting a rerun as well, including Jingliu and Luocha.

Version 2.1 will also be extending the story of our Trailblazer, with the new Trailblaze mission “The Devil in Velvet” promising lots of new content and a convoluted story as intricate and in-depth as Penacony.

The story will allow you to explore two brand new areas coming to 2.1, known as Dewlight Pavilion and Clock Studios Theme Park.

With every new major update comes a huge assortment of events that keep the players busy throughout the whole duration of the patch, as it smooths out the time that players have to wait for the next batch of content. 2.1 will also be following the same strategy and you can expect a lot of events which include a lot of rewards and Star Rail Passes.

• Cosmodyssey: The main anniversary event as Honkai Star Rail reaches its one-year mark, featuring lots and lots of rewards for the player.
• Vignettes in a Cup: Take the role of a drinksmith in Dreamjolt Hostelry.
• Tides of War: A combat event as you take on tides after tides of enemies and reap the rewards.
• Realm of The Strange: Get triple the rewards as you farm for Relics.
• Planar Fissure: Similar to Realm of The Strange, but this time you’ll get more drops for Planar Ornaments.
• Festive Gifts: Earn 20 Special Star Rail Passes and 1600 Stellar Jades on April 26, 2024. It’s time to splurge!
