The Guild Academy looks to provide young prospective esports competitors with all of the tools and training they’ll need to succeed and grow in the competitive gaming scene. Guild Esports hopes to help children ages 11 and older develop as a player and person no matter the outcome.
Today, a press release detailing the program revealed plans revolving around Fortnite Battle Royale, Valorant, Rocket League, and FIFA 21. The program begins with Fortnite and Rocket League, with the others following over the next six months. Those who enroll will have access to coaching, detailed feedback and even tournaments where players can test their abilities.
In addition to the perks above, enrolled academy attendees will experience one-on-one support, invitations to in-person boot camps, and opportunities to compete on LAN as Guild “uses its in-house talent scouts to recruit the next generation of players.”
Parent Support within the Program
While the academy attendees are working to improve their gameplay and life skills, parents can access a plethora of resources. Guild has constructed the “Parents Centre,” where guardians can learn about careers in esports. Additionally, the organization ensures a safe and friendly environment for all who enroll.
Guild Esports’ Executive Chairman — Charleston Curtis — commented on the academy's launch and the organization's mission.
“Over the last year, people have recognised us for building some of the most talented rosters in esports. The Guild Academy represents our vision for the future. The academy will contain the most comprehensive training platform in esports, with individualised support and tailored training programmes provided to develop the esports stars of tomorrow. Ingrained in all aspects of the academy will be our culture of excellence, and our priority is nurturing aspiring gamers to develop in all areas of their life. We’re thrilled to launch, and help to push the industry forward.”
How Much is it to Enroll in Guild Academy?
Interested parties can register for a 30-day free trial on Guild’s official website. After that period ends, the Guild Academy costs £4.99 per month.
With top Fortnite players like TaySon, Hen and JannisZ under the Guild banner, the organization has plenty of legitimacy to back up its newly established academy. It’ll be interesting to see what rising stars emerge from the program.
