Gamers8: The Land of Heroes Forms Smartphone Partnership with Chinese HONOR Brand

The Gamers8 festival has just gotten itself a smartphone partnership.

Summer is here, and we're getting closer to what's shaping up to be the biggest Esports festival in history: Gamers8: The Land of Heroes. And Gamers8 now has an official smartphone partner: HONOR.

Initially a sub-brand of Huawei, HONOR became an individual brand in 2020. HONOR made noise by briefly becoming China's number 1 smartphone brand, achieving 20% of the market share in Q1 2022.

HONOR will provide smartphones for Gamers8's festival and various Esports competitions, the most prevalent of which is the $3 million PUBG Mobile World Invitational. Competing players will do so on HONOR phones.

HONOR will also have its own booth at the festival to promote its brand and products to attendees. The Land of Heroes begins next month, on July 6, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The $5 million Gamers8 Club Awards competition begins immediately after, with the official ceremony taking place on August 30-31.
