Fortnite: What We Know So Far About Chapter 2 – Season 4

Fortnite’s newest season is once again upon us. Chapter 2 – Season 3 premiered earlier this summer on June 17 after a rather long delay. The two seasons before marked the longest in Fortnite’s three-year history. It seems Epic Games will not be delaying the release of its upcoming Chapter 2 – Season 4, much to the surprise of Fortnite players everywhere. The new season should debut on August 27, which is just one week away.

Not much is available in terms of details regarding Chapter 2 – Season 4. However, there are numerous Fortnite leakers on Twitter who have dropped some hints on what we should expect next Thursday. Let’s take a look at some of the rumors swirling around Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4.

Fortnite x Marvel

Famed Fortnite leaker HYPEX took to Twitter with some details about the theme of Chapter 2 – Season 4. He indicated that a source of his confirmed that Thor and his hammer Mjolnir will appear as in-game cosmetics next season. There is not much more to go off here. However, Fortnite did partner up with Square Enix’s upcoming Marvel Avengers video game recently. Those who participate in the open and closed beta tests of the Avengers game will earn exclusive in-game Hulk and Iron Man pick-axes. HYPEX also mentioned that Epic had plans to release a Wolverine skin and claw pick-axes.

Considering Fortnite has crossed over with Marvel several times before, it is certainly possible that Chapter 2 – Season 4 will feature more of the same. We’ve already seen skins for Captain America, Starlord and Black Widow. Let’s not forget that Fortnite also crossed over with Avengers: End Game for a Limited Time Mode where players could control Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet. A solid foundation exists for claims revolving around Fortnite and Marvel in Chapter 2 – Season 4.

Midas Flopper and a New Fishing Rod

In Season 4 there will be a "Midas Flopper" that turns your entire inventory to Legendary rarity, This is according to @StonewallTabor's latest video, also the pro fishing rod i leaked a while ago will be a thing, it only fishes rare floppers.

HYPEX dropped another nugget of information regarding new floppers in Chapter 2 – Season 4. Rumor has it that there will be a Midas Flopper capable of turning a player’s entire inventory into Legendary rarities. Additionally, Epic Games may unveil a new fishing rod that will only pull rare floppers. This rumor dates back to the Coral Cove update in Chapter 2 – Season 3, where again, HYPEX revealed a slew of floppers that we could see next season.

Epic seems keen on expanding the fishing aspect of Fortnite after introducing it first in Chapter 2 – Season 1.

With only six days remaining until Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4, there is a lot of mystery. We can expect Fortnite leakers to reveal more details leading up to the new season.
